# TREE TRIMMING & MANAGEMENT

Overgrown trees reduce usable land, block views, and create hazards. We trim and manage trees across large acreage properties — clearing dead wood, raising canopies, and shaping growth to improve your property's appearance and function.

## WHAT WE DO

- Canopy raising and deadwood removal
- Selective thinning for better land use
- Hazard tree removal
- Large-scale trimming across acreage properties

### Healthy Trees, Usable Land, Open Views

Hill Country live oaks are the signature of this land — but unmanaged tree growth blocks views, drops dead limbs on roofs and fences, harbors hazards, and prevents you from using the ground beneath. Strategic trimming opens views, raises canopies for tractor access, removes hazards before they become emergencies, and keeps your trees healthy for the next generation.

## OUR PROCESS

1. 01

    ### Tree Walk & Marking

We walk the property with you, identify trees needing work, flag hazards, and discuss your goals — views, clearance, hazard removal, or aesthetic shaping.

2. 02

    ### Oak Wilt & Season Check

If oaks are involved, we time the work outside Feb–June oak wilt season. If urgent oak work has to happen in-season, we paint cuts immediately to prevent infection.

3. 03

    ### Hazard & Deadwood First

Dead limbs, broken hangers, and split branches come down first — these are the immediate risks to people, livestock, and structures.

4. 04

    ### Canopy Raising & Shaping

Lower limbs removed for clearance under the tree. Canopy thinned for wind movement and light. Shape work done with care for tree health.

5. 05

    ### Cleanup & Chipping

Brush chipped on site or hauled off. Logs cut to firewood length if you want them. Site left clean — no piles, no mess.

## WHAT DRIVES THE COST

Every Hill Country property is different. Here's what affects pricing on this kind of work — and what we look at when we walk your land.

### Tree Size & Quantity

Large mature live oaks take more time and equipment than small trees. Per-tree pricing usually beats per-acre on selective work.

### Hazard Complexity

Trees over structures, near power lines, or with major split limbs require careful rigging and add cost.

### Season & Oak Wilt Risk

Oak work outside Feb–June is straightforward. In-season oak work requires immediate cut painting and additional precautions.

### Debris Handling

Chip on-site is most economical. Haul-off adds trucking. Firewood salvage can offset some cost on properties with usable wood.

### Access for Equipment

Trees reachable by aerial lift are faster than trees requiring climbing. Tight access slows work.

### Property Acreage

Trimming a few trees in the yard differs sharply from canopy work across 100 acres. Larger projects benefit from per-day pricing.

## EQUIPMENT USED

Aerial lift trucks for canopy work

Chainsaws and pole saws

Chippers and grinders

Skid steers for debris removal

## WHO IT'S FOR
